Ghosts of Summer was started by a couple of nerds with arts backgrounds who love Halloween and crave community. They are always searching for things to do to immerse ourselves in Autumnal celebrations and wanted a space where the cool creative people who make those things happen can share their work in one place to be supported by the weird and wonderful people of the Pacific Northwest.
Through education, activism, charity and community, Pagan Pride promotes tolerance and understanding between people with different belief systems. This Faire was started 8 years ago as a side project of the Celtic Women's Spirituality group of Tigard, OR, and though the group no longer has a physical class meeting at this point, these courses are taught online as an extension of the work Rebekah Hetrick started 8 years ago, aiming to educate in the field of Celtic Women's Mysteries. We will have a variety of events that educate and create a living history experience that bring the community together. We are not only about empowering women by studying our history and ancestors, but we also wish to represent the coming together of all communities through an open event that celebrates Celtic culture, fun and fantasy for all to enjoy.
